In the United States presently, the proportion of households having a High Definition TV exceeds 60%. Of those with future purchases, more than twelve percent have made up their mind to buy HDTV. The trend towards having an HDTV is an international phenomenon. To take full advantage of a High Definition Television, a Blu-ray player is a necessity. The trend among a lot of people is to stream online films and TV programs. Many think that the Blu-ray experience is already in the past. Undeniably, though, you experience superior results from a Blu-ray disc than from typical web streaming.

The Blu-ray players available today give you the best of both worlds as they offer streaming services as well as playing discs. This benefit is offered by the VBR200W, the up-to-date Blu-ray player from Vizio. Extra features separate this Blu-ray player from earlier models. Films can be streamed from Netflix and VUDU, using a wireless connection, thanks to the integrated Wi-Fi ability combined with Vizio's Internet Apps . The product is a compact and convenient 2.4 inches tall, while the controls - touch sensitive - are in the usual location on the front of the Vizio VBR200W. The middle front is the location for the disc tray, and the machine possesses a hi-tech appearance with its glossy black finish.

Hidden from view, the I/O connections can be found on the back end of the player. The video quality of the Vizio VBR200W is Full HD 1080p while using a Blu-ray disc and it plays normal DVDs at levels virtually as good as High Definition. Component, HDMI, and ComPosite outputs provide three means to connect the video. Plugging in through the HDMI option provides top video quality with both normal DVDs and Blu-ray discs.

HTMI allows you to enjoy 7.1 multi-channel surround-sound audio, while analog and Digital Optical/Coaxial outputs are further available connections. There are no 7.1 analog outputs, but there is internal decryption for Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio. Television news, music, radio, films and a lot more streaming choices are done via Vizio's Internet Apps for the VBR200W player. Twitter, Facebook, Netfix, Pandora Internet Radio, The New York Times, Associated Press, and many more web services can be accessed. Apparently, online streaming needs an internet connection, which can be made via the ethernet port or a wireles connection.

A quick-start guide makes for easy setup, and an owner's manual is provided, along with additional information. Streaming video and music straight from computer files to a Blu-ray player is nice, and it's a pity that the VBR200W player doesn't cater for it. The outstanding video and audio made by the VIZIO VBR200W Blu-ray Player are but two of the reasons for getting one. The playback on the Blu-ray disc is Full 1080p via HDMI. There is provision for internal audio decoding for Dolby Digital TrueHD and also DTS-HD. A plenitude of web streaming services are accessible, like Netflix and VUDU for HD movies, and news, music and other content - and you can get connected through Wi-Fi. The lack of a Quick Start Mode and DLNA capability are downsides to this Blu-ray disc player.

If a Blu-ray player is what you are looking for, you can have a lot of features with the Vizio VBR200W for a reasonable price. With The VBR200W, you can expect to have great audio and video quality, easy to navigate menu options, as well as built-in Wi-Fi and online streaming services. A price tag of under $200 is how much you can expect to spend on the Vizio VBR200W.
